All 12 Interval Studies now in videos on YouTube

Each study is visualized differently, to illustrate the voice leading of each.  John Kilburn spent hours creating the videos, which illuminate the separation of the two hands as the music is played. Watching the videos helps one concentrate on the sound of the different intervals.

Josh Freeman created the video using some  public domain photos  with a live performance.   John Kilburn purchased software to create this visualization of one of my 12 Interval Studies.  The others will follow. Sierra Foothill Composers' Co-operative in concert

On March 23, I was one of four composers whose works were performed in a well-attended concert in Oakhurst, CA.  My four songs for soprano and piano were well received. The concert included music by Bach, Mozart, Debussy, and Faur√© as well as pieces composed by the four founding members of the group: Brad Hufft, John Kilburn, Susan Moore, and me.  The music was for various combinations of harp, flute, cello, English horn, piano, guitar, and voice, with nine performers.

My most recent composition, One Loon's Afternoon, performed in concert

For mixed chorus, flute, and clarinet, this piece contains loon calls and melodies starting with those notes.  It tells the true story of a loon rescued from fishing line by a man in a kayak.

In rehearsal!

My newest piece is now being rehearsed by the Rangeley Community Chorus, to be performed August 28. It's for SATB chorus, flute, and clarinet, and tells the story of a loon rescued from tangled fishing line.

New covers, updated scores

Soon all the music that was up before will reappear, with new covers designed by John Kilburn, and corrections made in the scores.  It's been a long and rewarding process.  John is as talented artistically as he is musically, and just as insistent on excellence.   Comments: 1
